System Transfer Function Applications in Neutron Radiographic Object Scattering

Abstract

Object scattering in thermal neutron radiography is described using analytically derived point and line spread functions. Applications in the response analysis for a knife-edged slab object have resulted in a new quantitative description of previously described edge scattering distortions that arise from unbalanced scatter.
