On the in vivo measurement of mercury using neutron capture and x-ray fluorescence

Abstract

The in vivo measurement of mercury in kidney is explored using both prompt γ-ray emission following neutron absorption and γ-ray induced X-ray fluorescence. The sensitivity limits of the current procedures are derived, and possible ways of lowering these limits are discussed.
