Altered empathic responding in major depressive disorder: Relation to symptom severity, illness burden, and psychosocial outcome

Abstract

Individuals with major depressive disorder (MDD) demonstrate deficits in multiple social cognitive domains; however, systematic investigations of empathic responding have not been performed.
