Electrodeposition has gained renewed attention because of its adoption by major companies for the processing of advanced microelectronic components. The expansion of electrodeposition to ceramics and organoceramics holds promise for additional unique applications. Electrodeposition of ceramics can be performed by electrophoric deposition (EPD) or electrolytic deposition (ELD).
