Thermodynamic properties of liquid K-Bi alloys by electromotive force measurements

Abstract

Thermodynamic properties and phase relations of K-Bi alloys were measured over the temperature range 703-933 K. An EMF technique was used in which potassium-substituted beta alumina served as the solid electrolyte. Partial and integral values of Gibbs energy, entropy, enthalpy, excess stability and excess heat capacity are reported as well as liquidus temperatures.
