An exception reporting information system for ill-structured decision problems
Abstract
Quality control and cognitive mapping methods are combined to reduce the deficiencies of current techniques for designing exception reporting systems for ill-structured decision problems. The approach is tested using ten managers faced with the need of evaluating the performance of their subordinates. The results are very encouraging.
