Jordan Edwards

Overview

Dr. Edwards is an Epidemiologist, Health Services Researcher, Assistant Professor (Part-time) in Pediatrics, and is the Research and Evaluation Lead for the Extensive Needs Program at Hamilton Health Sciences (Canada).

 

Dr. Edwards’s research is focused on producing evidence to inform practice and policy aimed at reducing health and social disparities among children, youth, and families in Canada. His research applies innovative design and methodology to study the epidemiology, implementation, and evaluation of innovative models of care that support families with children and youth with extensive mental and neurodevelopmental health needs. His work is interdisciplinary, rooted in social, pediatric, and psychiatric epidemiology, and incorporates diverse quantitative and mixed methodologies.

 

Dr. Edwards’s work strives to prioritize underserved and diverse populations, employ inclusive, representative, and rigorous methodology, and actively engage in knowledge translation aimed at policy makers to improve equitable delivery of care.
