Mehdi Aloosh
Assistant Professor (Part-Time), Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact

Mehdi Aloosh is a public health and preventive medicine specialist, family physician and epidemiologist with two decades of clinical and academic experience internationally and in Canada. Presently, he serves as the Medical Officer of Health for Windsor and Essex County, Ontario, where he directs the public healthcare needs of nearly half a million residents. In this capacity, he assumes leadership of a sizable public health organization and actively engages in local, provincial, national and international health sector initiatives. Driven by a passion for improving population health, he champions a wide array of initiatives designed to enhance community well-being.

Dr. Aloosh supervises Master of Public Health students, medical students, and postgraduate medical trainees in their practicums, research projects, theses, and clinical rotations. He aims to help the next generation of health professionals be well-prepared to tackle future challenges.
