Recognized for contributions and leadership in education of micro-vascular anastomotic techniques, development of surgical models to measure cardiac hemodynamics, pre-clinical drug and device testing. Authored numerous grants, publication, and books. Reviewer for JACC, AJVR and Biomaterials. Regular member of ESC, EACVI and ESC (HFA) also of AHA, presenting on topics hemodynamics, pre-clinical models of HF; protein therapy. Medically educated in Czech Republic, as DVM. Under Dr. JI Weitz combined fellowship at Thrombosis Atherosclerosis program McMaster; PhD at 2011. His post-doctoral work at dept. Cardiac Surgery U of Toronto, performed pre-clinical cardiac surgery; assessment by pressure-volume. During 3 cardiovascular fellowships in Toronto, also in charge of microsurgical teaching laboratory at McMaster; holds Adjunct Lecturer at dept. of Surgery. Since 2019, program issuing CME certificates & credits.
